Political Сonsultations between Tajikistan and Austria

On October 12, 2026, the thirteenth round of political consultations between Tajikistan and Austria was held in Dushanbe with the participation of the Head of the Department for European and American Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sohibnazar Gayratsho and the Director of the Political Department of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria Mr.Thomas Mühlmann.
During the dialogue, a wide range of issues related to the development of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Austria in the political, economic, scientific, and cultural spheres, education, healthcare, and tourism, as well as mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries within international and regional organizations, were discussed.
It should be noted that sister city relations have been established between the cities of Dushanbe and Klagenfurt for many years, and the presence of Austrian companies “Voith Hydro”, “Andritz Hydro”, “Doppelmayr” and “AME” in important sectors of the Tajik economy is an example of successful cooperation between Tajikistan and European business circles.
