16 September 2023, on the sidelines of the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the G77 and China in Havana, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farhod Salim met with the Minister of Public health of the Republic of Cuba Dr. Jose Angel Portal Miranda.

 

 

 

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Cuba in the areas of healthcare, the pharmaceutical industry and advanced training. The parties also exchanged views on the possibility of cooperation between research institutes of the two countries in the field of healthcare.

On September 15-16, 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farhod Salim took part in the Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Group of 77 and China on current development challenges: the role of science, technology and innovation in Havana, Cuba.

 

 

 

 

 

During the event, the main issues in the direction of sustainable development, especially the role of science, technology and innovation in ensuring food safety, health, new production processes, human well-being and a healthy environment were discussed and analyzed, as well as an exchange of views on the relevant topics among the delegations of the Group of 77 and China took place.

 

 

 

 

During the speech of the Deputy Minister, the need to strengthen technological potential in all areas vital for developing countries was emphasized, and the importance of developing science and technology and overcoming problems in the field of innovative development in the policy of our country was also noted.

The Summit was held in a friendly atmosphere, as a result of which the “Havana Declaration” was adopted.
